I grew up near Carcross in the Yukon and already as a young boy I learned to work with leather, fabric and wood.
As of 1978 I have been very active in Living History and Blackpowder Shooting.
This passion of history combined with my leather working and sewing skills lead me start my business 1989 under the name "Beaver Mountain Traders" while I still served for the US Army in Germany. When I came back to Canada in 1993 I changed the name into "Beaver Mountain Works". Expanding into different areas Mark began to create useful every day leather products as done for certuries by craftsmen the world over. Some of these products you find on this website under the name of Leather Mark Collection. All items are handmade using traditional methods and historically correct patterns. We work with top quality leather, deerskin, canvas, fabrics, metal-, brass- and glass-beads along with real bone and horn hair pipe. Absolutely no plastic in our products! We take great pride in creating each and every item, but we don?t stop there. We are a manufacturing company that specializes in handmade traditional items from the past.
